Security Measures

We implement organizational, contractual, and technical security measures in accordance with the latest technological standards to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and to protect the data we process from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access. Among these measures is the encrypted transmission of all data between your browser and our server.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

Personal data will only be shared with third parties if necessary—for example, for contract purposes in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(b)—or based on legitimate interests of an economical and efficient operation of our company under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

When subcontractors are engaged to deliver our services, we take legal precautions as well as technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of personal data in accordance with data protection regulations.

Contact

When contacting us (via email), the information provided by users is processed to handle the contact request in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(b). For the Data Protection Officer’s contact details, see section (2).

Webflow

The website kanbert.com is hosted by Webflow Inc., located at 398 11th Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (hereinafter referred to as "Webflow"). When you visit our website, Webflow collects various log files, including your IP address(es).

Webflow is a tool for creating and hosting websites. Webflow stores cookies or uses other recognition technologies required for the site’s presentation, provision of specific website functions, and security assurance (necessary cookies). The use of such necessary cookies is based on GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Kanbert has a legitimate interest in ensuring the website is displayed as reliably as possible.

The use of other Webflow functions and setting of non-necessary Webflow cookies (e.g., for analytics or advertising purposes) only takes place with your consent, so processing occurs solely on the basis of GDPR Article 6(1)(a) or Section 165(2) TKG 2021. Consent can be revoked at any time with future effect. Please note that such revocation may result in certain website functions no longer being available and/or certain services no longer being provided. For more information, refer to Webflow's privacy policy.

When your personal data is transferred to Webflow servers located in the United States, this occurs based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which we have entered into with Webflow. These clauses commit Webflow to maintain a data protection level comparable to that of the EU. For more details, see: EU & Switzerland data protection regulations

We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required under data protection law, ensuring that this provider processes the personal data of our website visitors exclusively in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Data Collection and Log Files

We collect data based on legitimate interests in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f) regarding every access to the server (so-called server log files). Access data includes the name of the accessed webpage, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, message about successful retrieval, browser type, version, the operating system used by users, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address, and the requesting provider.

For security reasons (e.g., for investigating misuse or fraud), log file information is stored for a maximum of seven days and then deleted. Data requiring further retention for evidential purposes is excluded from deletion until the incident is resolved.

Cookies & Reach Measurement

Cookies consist of information transferred from our server or a third-party server to the user's browser and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other types of information storage.

We use session cookies, which are active only for the duration of the current visit to our website. A session cookie stores a randomly generated and unique identification number (a session ID) and contains information about its origin and storage duration. No further data is saved in the cookie.

Session cookies are deleted when the use of our online offering ends, i.e., upon logout or closing the browser. Users are informed about the use of cookies for pseudonymous reach measurement as part of the privacy policy.

If users do not wish cookies to be stored on their devices, they can disable the corresponding option in their browser's system settings. Stored cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. Blocking cookies may lead to functional restrictions in our online services.

Google Analytics

Based on our legitimate interests (interest in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our online offering as per GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google uses cookies, which are small text files stored on the user’s device, to collect information about the use of the online offering, which is transmitted to a server in the USA and stored there.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework, ensuring compliance with European data protection laws. More information can be found here: Privacy Shield Certification.

IOn our behalf, Google processes this information to evaluate the use of our website, compile reports on website activity, and provide additional services related to website and internet use. The data processed by Google may be used to create pseudonymous user profiles.

We use Google Analytics to display ads within Google’s advertising services and its partners’ services only to users who have shown interest in our online offerings or possess specific characteristics (e.g., interest in particular topics or products identified by the websites they visited). With the help of Google’s Remarketing Audiences, we aim to ensure our ads are relevant and not intrusive.

We use Google Analytics exclusively with IP anonymization enabled. This means that users' IP addresses are truncated within the EU member states or other signatories of the European Economic Area agreement before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The transmitted IP address is not merged with other data from Google.

Users can prevent the storage of cookies by disabling the relevant option in their browser settings. Additionally, users can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the website (including their IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at: Google Opt-Out.

Further information on the use of data by Google, settings, and opt-out options can be found on the following websites:

Google Signals

As an extension of Google Analytics, this website may use Google Signals to generate cross-device reports. If you have activated personalized ads and linked your devices to your Google account, Google may analyze your usage behavior across devices (subject to your consent for the use of Google Analytics in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and create database models, including cross-device conversions. We do not receive personal data from Google, only aggregated statistics.

If you want to stop cross-device analysis, you can deactivate "Personalized Ads" in your Google account settings. Follow the instructions on this page: Google Ad Settings

Google-Re/Marketing-Services

Based on our legitimate interests (interest in the analysis, economic, and efficient operation of our online offering as per GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), we use marketing and remarketing services ("Google Marketing Services") provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework, ensuring compliance with European data protection laws. More information can be found here: Privacy Shield Certification.

The use of Google Marketing Services allows us to target ads for and on our website to show users only those ads that are potentially of interest to them. For example, if a user is shown ads for products they were interested in on other websites, this is referred to as "remarketing."

For this purpose, when you access our and other websites that have Google Marketing Services enabled, Google executes a code immediately and integrates (re)marketing tags into the website. These tags (invisible graphics or codes, also known as "web beacons") enable an individual cookie to be stored on the user's device. Cookies can be set from various domains, including google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com, or googleadservices.com.

These cookies store which websites users visit, what content they are interested in, and what offers they clicked on, along with technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visit duration, and additional information about the use of the online offering.

The users' IP address is also collected, but only truncated within EU member states or other signatories of the European Economic Area agreement. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address will not be merged with other data from Google.

The data described above may also be linked by Google with similar information from other sources. If users visit other websites later, they may be shown ads tailored to their interests.

Google processes the data pseudonymously. This means Google does not store or process the users’ names or email addresses but uses cookie-related data within pseudonymous user profiles. This means the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified individual but rather for the cookie holder, regardless of who the cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process their data without pseudonymization.

The data collected by Google Marketing Services is transmitted to Google and stored on Google servers in the USA.

One of the Google Marketing Services we use is the online advertising program "Google Ads." In the case of Google Ads, each Google Ads customer receives a different "conversion cookie." Cookies cannot be tracked across Google Ads customers' websites. The information collected by the cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Google Ads customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.

We may also use the "DoubleClick" Google Marketing Service to enable third-party ads. DoubleClick uses cookies to allow Google and its partner websites to serve ads based on users' visits to this or other websites on the internet.

We may also use "Google Optimizer," which allows us to track the effects of various changes to a website (e.g., changes to input fields, design, etc.) as part of "A/B testing." Cookies are stored on users' devices for these testing purposes.

Additionally, we may use the "Google Tag Manager" to integrate and manage Google analytics and marketing services on our website.

Further information on Google's data usage for marketing purposes can be found on this overview page: Google Marketing Data Usage

Google's privacy policy is available here: Google Privacy Policy.

If you wish to opt out of interest-based advertising through Google Marketing Services, you can use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google: Google Ad Settings.

Lead Forensics

To optimize our services and offerings, we use the Lead Forensics service on our website. This service is provided by Lead Forensics, Building 3000, Lakeside, North Harbour, Portsmouth, PO6 3EN, UK.

Lead Forensics does not use cookies. When visiting our website, Lead Forensics collects the IP address and matches it against its own database of company and business information. This database may contain data about your company and decision-makers, including personal information such as first name, last name, email address, social profiles (limited to LinkedIn), and the business IP address. However, no direct match between these data points and the specific IP address is made. Lead Forensics does not link the IP address to personal data stored in its database. Once the data comparison is complete, the IP address is anonymized by Lead Forensics.

After this process, we receive information from Lead Forensics that is associated with the matched IP address in their database. This allows us to identify businesses that may be interested in our products. Additionally, we can view the actual path of a user’s visit to our website, including which pages were visited and how long users spent on each page.

The use of Lead Forensics is only performed with your explicit prior consent. More information can be found at: Lead Forensics Privacy Policy.

The legal basis for using Lead Forensics is GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. We store and process the collected data until the consent is revoked unless further processing is supported by another legal basis.

Facebook-, Custom Audiences and Facebook-Marketing-Services

Within our online offering, we use the "Facebook Pixel" service provided by the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., located at 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or, if you reside in the European Union, by Facebook Ireland Ltd., located at 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework, ensuring compliance with European data protection laws. More information can be found here.

By using the Facebook Pixel, Facebook can identify visitors to our website as a target audience for displaying advertisements ("Facebook Ads"). We use the Facebook Pixel to display Facebook Ads to Facebook users who have shown interest in our online offering or exhibit certain characteristics (e.g., interest in specific topics or products determined by the websites they visit), which we transmit to Facebook ("Custom Audiences"). Through the use of Facebook Pixel, we aim to ensure that our Facebook Ads align with users' potential interests and are not perceived as disruptive. Additionally, the Facebook Pixel allows us to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes—for example, by determining whether users were directed to our website after clicking on a Facebook Ad ("Conversion").

When visiting our websites, the Facebook Pixel is immediately integrated, and a cookie—a small file—may be stored on the user's device. If you subsequently log in to Facebook or visit Facebook while logged in, your visit to our online offering will be associated with your Facebook profile. The personal data collected is anonymous to us, meaning we cannot identify users. However, Facebook stores and processes the data, enabling it to link to a user profile, which Facebook and we can use for our own market research and advertising purposes. If data is sent to Facebook for matching purposes, it is encrypted locally in the user's browser and transmitted to Facebook via a secure HTTPS connection. This only occurs if the encrypted data is to be matched with similarly encrypted data from Facebook.

Based on our legitimate interest, we use the "Custom Audiences from File" service provided by Facebook Inc. In this process, the email addresses of newsletter recipients are uploaded to Facebook. This upload is encrypted. The purpose of the upload is to identify recipients of our Facebook Ads. In this way, we aim to ensure that advertisements are only displayed to users who have shown interest in our information and services.

The processing of data by Facebook is carried out within the framework of Facebook's data use policy. Relevant information on the display of Facebook Ads can be found in Facebook’s data use policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

Specific information and details on Facebook Pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's Help Center.

Services and Content from Third Parties

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e., interest in the analysis, economic, and efficient operation of our online offering in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), we use third-party content and services to promote their offerings, such as videos and fonts (collectively referred to as "content"). This requires that the providers of such content access the user's IP address, as the content cannot be delivered to the user's browser without it. The IP address is therefore necessary for displaying this content.

We strive to use only content whose providers use the IP address solely for delivering the content. Third parties may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics or codes, also referred to as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags can be used to analyze information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous data may be stored in cookies on the user's device and may include technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, the time of access, and other details about the use of our online offering. This information may also be linked to other data from various sources.

The following provides an overview of third parties and their respective content, including links to their privacy policies for additional information on data processing and, where applicable, opt-out options:

  1. External Fonts from Google, Inc.
    Website: Google Fonts
Fonts are integrated via a server request, typically to a Google server in the USA.
  2. Videos from the "YouTube" Platform

Microsoft Clarity

We use the Microsoft Clarity service on our website for statistical evaluation of website usage. The provider of Microsoft Clarity is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA ("Microsoft").

Microsoft Clarity uses cookies to enable the analysis of our website usage and a tracking code that is executed when this service is called. Information such as your IP address, location, time, or frequency of visits to our website is transmitted to and stored by Microsoft. According to Microsoft, this information may also be used for advertising purposes and other services related to website usage and internet use.

We use Microsoft Clarity with the anonymization function. This feature ensures that Microsoft truncates the IP address within the EU or EEA before further processing. The processing of your data is based on your consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.

Microsoft’s privacy policy can be found here: Microsoft Privacy Statement.
More information about Microsoft Clarity and its privacy terms can be found here: Microsoft Clarity Terms.

User Rights

Users have the right to request information free of charge about the personal data stored about them, the right to correct inaccurate data, restrict processing, and delete personal data. They may also exercise their right to data portability, file complaints with the relevant supervisory authority in cases of unlawful processing, and withdraw their consent with effect for the future.

Data Deletion

Data stored by us will be deleted when it is no longer required for its intended purpose and when there are no statutory retention obligations preventing its deletion. If a user’s data cannot be deleted because it is required for other legal purposes, its processing will be restricted. This means the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies to user data that must be stored for commercial or tax-related reasons. In general, data is stored for up to 10 years.

Right to Object

Users have the right to object at any time to the future processing of their personal data in accordance with legal requirements, particularly for data processing related to direct marketing.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy to reflect changes in the law or updates to our services and data processing practices. This applies only to declarations about data processing. If user consent is required or if parts of the privacy policy include provisions of the contractual relationship with the users, changes will only be made with the users' consent.

Users are encouraged to review the content of the privacy policy regularly.
